Hydrostats can often be repaired for less than the cost of a new unit.
The initial fee is applied to the repairs if you decide to have the unit repaired. If the repair estimate is more than you want to spend, the initial fee is all you owe. We can also quote you the cost of a new hydrostat if one is available.
To have us repair your hydrostat:
- Ship (or deliver) your broken/malfunctioning hydrostat to us.
- We will disassemble it and determine what's wrong.
- The $30 covers the initial inspection and diagnosis.
- We will provide you with an estimate of the repair cost, and repair options.
- After repairing the unit, you will be billed for the parts used and labor.
Note: The repair cost will be provided after diagnosis due to the number of things that could be wrong. It may be a simple fix, or it may take many parts to repair a unit, depending on the extent of the damage.
The unit must be thoroughly drained before shipment, with all holes plugged.
At a minimum, all seals will be replaced as part of the repair process.
